Easy Web Sites Ltd Company History
Can you remember the internet in 1999? Believe it or not, less than 10% of homes in the UK had access to the internet then. If you were one of them, the access was by dial-up on a normal telephone line. And when you were on-line, your phone was engaged! It was around this time that two of our directors were launching a website company called barbox.com on behalf of Bass Brewers Ltd. This website became the on-line ordering platform for the licensed trade, and was the first to integrate the world wide web with a multi-client stock and order system in the UK.
Our first website was built in 2003 by our Managing Director, Jim Reilly. Jim's experience in the brewing industry helped him to realise that the most important aspect of professional websites was the customer service offer - it is vital to be able to access your website company and to make changes on a regular basis.
Having established that there was a market for his services, in 2006 he recruited Stephen Flynn, his nephew, to work in Glasgow. Also in 2006, Andrew Gibson (a colleague from barbox.com) joined the company, developing a customer base in Yorkshire and NE England.
Easy Web Sites was established as a Limited Company in January 2007 with Jim, Stephen and Andrew as Directors. Rapid development of the company followed, with a full range of services offered including:

- eCommerce
- Search Engine Optimisation
- google marketing
And increasingly, recent work on Search Engine Optimisation and Internet Marketing campaigns.
Our staff has increased in recent years, with two full time developers joining the company - Tom Calpin in early 2008, and Mark England in early 2009.
